Carlin Motorsport has confirmed that it will expand its programme for the 2008 season to include an entry into the F3 Euroseries for the first time.
The team, which has won the British F3 title on three occasions since 1999, will make its debut in the Euroseries when the new season kicks of at Hockenheim, with the programme set to run alongside existing entries in both British F3 and the World Series by Renault.
"In the past few years F3 Euro Series has proved to be an immensely competitive championship and a great training ground for tomorrow's stars," team boss Trevor Carlin said. "The team's move into the European championship compliments our current race programmes of British F3 and World Series and will further strengthen the team's history of running the F1 drivers of the future.
"The Carlin team have enjoyed a great history in British F3, and this move into Europe will in no way weaken this. We have the resources and knowledge to be able to compete in both the European and British championships simultaneously and aim to be competitive from the first race.
"We are currently in discussions with several drivers and hope to announce our 2008 Euro Series line-up in the near future."
