Euro: Hulkenberg excluded from Zandvoort win

Nico Hulkenberg has lost his victory in the first F3 Euroseries race of the weekend at Zandvoort after being excluded from the race.

The ART Grand Prix man had taken the flag ahead of Mika Maki and Jules Bianchi having started from pole position but his car was then found to be three kilos underweight following post-race checks.

As a result, race officials threw Hulkenberg out of the race handing victory to Maki, with Bianchi and Sam Bird completing the podium as a result.

Hulkenberg will be allowed to start the second race from the back of the grid, while the ART team has appealed against the decision.
