Oz: Eurasia Team Goddard commits to '09

Reigning Asian F3 champions Eurasia Team Goddard has revealed that it will enter the 2009 Australian F3 Championship as it looks to broaden its reach in the category.

The team, which took Belgian Frederic Vervisch to the first of his two F3 titles in early 2008, will field a brace of two Dallara F307 chassis to be powered by Mercedes-Benz engines, a package that the team is confident will offer a chance to run at the front of one of the most closely-fought F3 championships on a cost-effective budget.

“Drivers such as Ben Clucas, Charlie Hollings and James Winslow have demonstrated that the Australian F3 Championship is a positive career move for European-based drivers, as well as drivers from the Asia-Pacific region - and drivers from the Americas should also consider the series” team boss Mark Goddard claimed,

“We have the best possible car and driver combination for this championship, and I believe our renowned technical and driver development expertise will give us that vital edge.”

Eurasia Team Goddard will make its first Australian F3 race appearance at Adelaide's Clipsal 500 on in March.
