Mustonen secures Euroseries deal

Atte Mustonen is to swap the British F3 International Series for the F3 Euroseries in 2009 after agreeing a deal to join the new Motopark team.

The team, headed by Timo Rumpfkeil, will move into the Euroseries for the first time having spent recent seasons running in the Formula Renault Eurocup and the Northern European Formula Renault Championship.

Mustonen becomes the first driver signed by the team having spent the past two seasons running in Britain for the team co-owned by Ferrari Formula One driver Kimi Raikkonen.

Having finished sixth in the standings in 2007 and seventh last year, the young Finn will now make the move into the Euroseries for the first time as one of the more experienced series 'rookies'.
