Daniel Ricciardo is looking to maintain the momentum from his double victory in the British Formula 3 Championship season opener at Oulton Park as the series heads to Silverstone for round two.

On a weekend that also signalled victory for the new Volkswagen-powered Carlin Motorsport Dallara, the Australian racer was a comfortable winner in both races to establish a good advantage over nearest rivals Walter Grubmuller and Nick Tandy.

Unlike Oulton Park, Silverstone will be a familiar venue for Ricciardo after competing there in the 2008 Formula Renault Eurocup and winning a race.

"I'm aiming for some good results this weekend, and I'm ready for the next race and the next challenge. Our last test went really well at Silverstone, although that was in the wet so we'll have to see what the weather holds in store for us this weekend.

With Carlin team-mates Max Chilton, Oli Oakes and Henry Arundel enduring a tough start to the season at Oulton Park, Ricciardo says he expects them to mount a more significant challenge this weekend.

"Max was also quick at the last test, so I'm expecting him to be really close again this weekend, and I'm sure Henry and Oli will also be up there. Together with the pressure from my team mates and some of the other drivers on the grid, I know that it won't be easy this weekend. If we can come away with two podium finishes, I'll be happy."
