Nick Tandy has lost the eighth place that was initially his after the opening race of the Cooper Tyres British F3 International Series' 'awayday' race at Hockenheim on Saturday.

The JTR Mygale driver was excluded from the results post-race for a technical infringement, after tyre debris thrown up from the track was found to have lodged in the air restrictor of his Mercedes-powered machine, causing damage that, it was decided, could have potentially enhancing the car's performance.

Tandy's exclusion promoted Wayne Boyd to eighth, with Victor Garcia and Hywel Lloyd completing the top ten.
