Tandy stands down from JTR seat

Nick Tandy has elected to stand down from his drive with the JTR team in the British F3 International Series to focus on the Euroseries after inking a deal with the Kolles & Heinz Union outfit headed by former F1 team boss Colin Kolles.

Tandy, who took his maiden victory in British F3 earlier this season at Rockingham in what was the first meeting following the death of his brother Joe, was given the chance to join the Kolles & Heinz team for the Euroseries event at the Norisring after Carlo van Dam left the team.

Now, that deal has been extended for the remainder of the year with Tandy standing down from his British duties as a result. JTR will look to find a replacement driver for the rest of the campaign.

“This is the sort of chance for which I have been aiming all my career,” Tandy said, “so it would have been crazy to pass it up. I am devastated that I will no longer be driving with JTR, but the whole team knows that I am fully behind them and will continue to support them in every way possible.”
