Renger van der Zande made it two pole positions out of two at Snetterton after coming out on top of another closely fought qualifying session in the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series.

The Dutch ace posted a quickest time of 1min 02.098secs during the session as he edged out team-mate Walter Grubmuller to top spot by just 0.068secs. Riki Christodoulou was third quickest for Fortec, but just 0.018secs behind Grubmuller at the end of the session.

"Still on top, it's great and I am very happy," said van der Zande. "Let's hope it stays that way in the races..."

Max Chilton was fourth quickest for Carlin ahead of team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, while Adriano Buzaid, Wayne Boyd, Victor Garcia, Daisuke Nakajima and Jay Bridger rounded out the top ten.

In the National Class, Daniel McKenzie took his second pole of the day in 13th place overall, one ahead of T-Sport driver Gabriel Dias.
