Raikkonen Robertson Racing has announced that it will run a three-car team for the latest rounds of the 2009 Cooper Tires British F3 International Series this weekend, with Dominic Storey coming in to join regular pairing Daisuke Nakajima and Carlos Huertas at Donington Park.
The 19-year-old New Zealander will rejoin the team having previously run in Double R colours during a brief stint in Formula BMW UK back in 2007, and will be at the wheel of the car that Marcus Ericsson used to take victory at both Rockingham and Hockenheim earlier in the year
"I'm really excited to be racing with Raikkonen Robertson this weekend,” he said. “There will be a lot to learn, but I'm sure by working together, the team and I can push for a good result. I can't wait to get in the car during the race weekend."
Team principal Anthony Hieatt said he was pleased to welcome Storey back into the team for the event, although he admitted it would be difficult for the teenager to make his mark given his lack of time in the car.
"We're delighted that Dominic has chosen Raikkonen Robertson as the team to make his F3 debut with,” he said. “He will only be racing with us for one weekend, so we'll be working hard to make this weekend as positive for him as possible. He's had very little experience in the F3 car so it's going to be a tough weekend for him, but he'll have two good team-mates from which to learn.
“From Carlos and Daisuke's perspective it's another opportunity to aim for the podium, which at the half way point in the season, both drivers are more than capable of."
