Daisuke Nakajima has set his sights on fighting for the 2010 British F3 International Series title after re-signing with Raikkonen Robertson Racing for the season ahead.
Nakajima, the younger brother of ex-Williams F1 driver Kazuki, made his debut in the series last season with the team, securing podium finishes at Rockingham and Silverstone, where he also took his maiden pole position.
Having finished seventh in the standings last year, the 21-year-old heads into the new season looking to launch an assault on the title and he admitted that he couldn't wait for testing to get underway at Snetterton next week.
“First of all, I'm extremely grateful to my sponsors, in particular Honda, who have shown such faith in me to support me again in 2010,” he said. “I am extremely grateful for this opportunity that they have made possible for me. I'm very excited now, and can't wait for the season opener at Oulton Park.
“Since the 2009 season finished, I've remained in close contact with Double R and I've been very impressed with the work the team has been doing over the winter. I'm very confident that we are going to be one of the strongest teams on the grid and I'm looking forward to getting back in the car for testing.”
