Snegirev joins Fortec

Max Snegirev to step up the International Class of British F3 with Fortec for the 2010 season
Russian racer Max Snegirev is to step up to the International class of the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 series for the 2010 season.

The 22-year-old will join Daniel McKenzie and Oli Webb in a third car entered into the series by Fortec, having competed in the National Class last season with Team West-Tec.

Snegirev will sample his new car for the first time during testing at Silverstone next week, which will mark the final pre-season session prior to the Easter weekend season opener at Oulton Park.

"We are looking forward to Max driving our car for the first time at Silverstone on 23 March,” senior race engineer Mick Kouros said. “Max knows that he has missed several test days but is keen to start working with the team and his new team-mates.

“We will all be working hard to help bring Max up to speed with the International class car, and although he is starting behind all the rest we will be working on continually improving as the season develops."
