Euro F3 Silverstone: Ocon heads Prema 1-2-3

17-year-old Esteban Ocon impresses en route to victory in the second European F3 race at Silverstone, ahead of his Prema team-mates.

Esteban Ocon has taken an early lead in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship standings after going one better in the second race of the weekend at Silverstone, the Frenchman heading up a dominant 1-2-3 for Prema.

Starting from pole position, Ocon made no mistake away from the lights, gradually pulling his advantage over team-mates Nicholas Latifi and Antonio Fuoco to ease home a comfortable victor of his fellow Prema drivers.

It means the 17-year-old rookie, who also starts race three from pole position, has established an early lead in the standings, ahead of race one winner Tom Blomqvist, who could only turn in fourth position on this occasion.

Son of former F1 driver Jos, Max Verstappen notched up his first car racing finish with an assured drive to fifth place, the Dutchman passing Jordan King en route.

Ed Jones, Antonio Giovinazzi, Dennis van de Laar and John Bryant-Meisner completed the top ten positions.
