Felix Rosenqvist has joined Prema Poweteam in the upcoming FIA Formula 3 European championship, ending a four-year partnership with Mucke Motorsport.

The 23-year-old Swedish driver narrowly missed out of the Euro F3 title in 2013, finishing runner-up to Raffaele Marciello, despite racking up 10 race wins over the campaign.

Rosenqvist, a former Masters of Formula 3 and Macau GP winner, struggled through an indifferent 2014 and has made the switch to the Italian team for the new season, declaring he only has eyes for the Euro F3 title.

"Since I started racing against them, Prema Powerteam always were the team to beat," Rosenqvist said. "Now, after having visited their headquarters and their garage, I also know why they are that dominant. They work on an extremely high level. I already look forward to the first races I'm going to contest with them."

Prema Powerteam team principal Rene Rosin is delighted to welcome the Swedish driver to his outfit.

"That a driver such as Felix opts for racing for us is a big honour for our team," Rosin said. "In the past four years, he always was one of our toughest rivals and now, he will represent our colours. Felix experience definitely will be valuable for our team and a help in the battle for the title."
