Antonio Giovinazzi says he has strong mechanical feeling with his Jagonya Ayam with Carlin Dallara F312-Volkswagen car after he topped the combined timesheets at the official two-day test in Valencia.

The full 2015 FIA European Formula 3 championship grid commenced testing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia and Giovinazzi topped both the morning and afternoon timesheets on the first day.

The Italian's best time of 1m 24.755s remained unbeaten at the end of the second day after overnight rain halted any chance of drivers improving their laptimes.

The experienced F3 driver was pleased by the team's progress and feels he is already in a strong position looking ahead to the new season.

"I'm really satisfied after the first track commitment of the season," Giovinazzi reflected. "The good performance on day one was followed by a great work together with my engineers, under an uninterrupted rainy day.

"I'm leaving Spain with the best time, when I was always on the top. Our second great team success is the good mechanical feeling I felt with my Dallara F312-Volkswagen and with my technicians."

The Euro F3 teams will reconvene for a second collective test on the 7th April at Silverstone before the 2015 season opener at the same venue on the 10-12th April.
