The FIA European Formula 3 Championship has abandoned its trip to Moscow Raceway and has switched it to Portimao, Portugal.

Teams asked the championship organisers to reconsider going to Moscow for round nine due to the high costs of travel and tricky logistical efforts. Euro F3 has duly obliged and moved the event to Autodromo Internacional do Algave, which will take place a week later than initially planned (4-6 September).

Euro F3 will run alongside the Blancpain Sprint Series and it will be the first time the championship has been contested on the Algarve coast.
