Felix Rosenqvist has repeated the trick in qualifying two after taking pole position for the second race at the Nurburgring ahead of George Russell.
The European Formula 3 championship leader has grabbed his second front row start of the weekend after also taking pole position for race one earlier in the day. The Swedish driver once again demonstrated his dominance at the German circuit by heading the chasing pack by almost a quarter of a second.
Russell acted as the sole Carlin driver in between three Prema Powerteam cars in the top four with Lance Stroll and Jake Dennis making up the second row as former championship leader Antonio Giovinazzi rounded out the top five.
Mikkel Jensen has made significant gains in qualifying two to take sixth on the grid, ahead of top rookie Charles Leclerc with Nick Cassidy, Santino Ferrucci and Alessio Lorandi completing the top ten on the grid for race two.
