Double R hope for strong run at Spa.

Raikkonen Robertson Racing will look to impress as the British F3 International Series heads to Spa this weekend for the latest rounds of the season.

The team heads to the famous Belgian Grand Prix venue buoyed by a double podium last time out for Atte Mustonen, who currently lies fourth in the championship standings.

Now the young Finn will look to go one better and fight for victory and he said he was confident of carrying the pace shown at Brands Hatch into the race weekend.

“We had a strong weekend at Brands Hatch, the car felt good and I was really able to push for the results,” he said. “I'm confident that we can carry that speed forward to Spa. Spa is a fantastic circuit, for sure as a driver it's probably one of the best in the world.

“I think we're in good shape this weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing our pace compared to the other teams in qualifying on Thursday.”

John Martin meanwhile will be looking to try and secure his first visit to the F3 podium while F3 rookie Henry Arundel will be debuting at Spa as he continues to with his Formula Three education.

“British F3 is immensely competitive this year and there are still many drivers in contention for the title,” team principal Anthony Hieatt said. “Atte had a very strong weekend at Brands Hatch which put him back in the title running, and has given him a boost ahead of this weekend's race.

“I don't think we've seen John's full potential so far this year and he should be aiming for a top six finish this weekend. Henry has been dogged by bad luck this season and he faces a tough learning curve this weekend on his first visit to Spa but there's no question he has the pace to be running consistently in the points if everything comes together.”
