Carlin Motorsport reached a milestone in its history in Bucharest after Jaime Alguersuari took the teams 150th race win in the second British F3 International Series race of the weekend in the Romanian capital.

The Spaniard took the lead of the race at the first corner as team-mates Oliver Turvery and Brendon Hartley diced for position off the line and was able to survive a mid-race Safety Car period to wrap up his third win of the year ahead of Turvey and Hartley.

"I think I benefited from the fight that Brendon and Oli had at the start, I was able to slip down the inside and into the lead," he said. "I managed to pull a bit of a gap on Oliver, and at that point my aim was just to try and control the race. Oli and Brendon have been quicker than me throughout the weekend, so I knew I had to push hard and not make any mistakes.

"Winning here means I'm still in contention for the championship, the points are still pretty close and I can't wait for Donington. I think it's been a really exciting championship this year, and I believe we'll see some good racing at Donington in October."

That result came after Hartley had led home Turvey and Alguersuari to a 1-2-3 finish in the opening race of the weekend as Trevor Carlin's eponymous squad dominated proceedings on Romania and he was understandably thrilled with how things had panned out.

"I'm absolutely delighted and would like to thank every single team member and driver for a perfect weekend," he said. "To come away with two poles, two 1- 2-3 finishes and seal our 150th win is a great achievement.

"We have a long wait until the season finale in October, but the team will be working hard until then to produce a car capable of winning the championship."
