Martin to race at Indy 300.

Piccola Scuderia Corse has announced the signing of Australian A1GP driver John Martin for the F3 support race at the Gold Coast Indy 300.

Martin, who took fourth place in the feature race of the A1GP season opener at Zandvoort and has spend the season racing for Raikkonen Robertson Racing in the British F3 International Series, will head to the team's Sydney headquarters later this week for a seat-fitting in the Dallara F307 he will use for the weekend.

Martin's chance has come with current PSC drivers Justin Tate and Ash Betteridge electing to miss the non-championship race to conserve funds for the 2009 campaign.

He will become the seventh driver to race for the team this season.
