Adrian Campfield has become the latest driver to test with Team West-Tec as the team seeks to finalise its driver line-up for the 2009 Spanish F3 season.
The UK Formula Ford graduate impressed the team with his progress during the Snetterton test, which saw him running just a couple of tenths slower than a leading British F3 A Class car in a West-Tec Spanish-spec Dallara F306, and quicker than the three other F3 cars on the circuit that day.
"I was really pleased to get the call to test and Team West-Tec were a pleasure to work with," Campfield said. "The car handled superbly and was a beautiful machine to drive. Racing with the team in F3 in
2009 is my aim - we just now have to make it happen."
Team boss John Miller said he was impressed by the way Campfield had got to grips with the F3 machine after seeing him complete more than 100 laps of the Norfolk circuit and said he was confident he would do a good job if signed to a race seat.
"Adrian did a stunning job, and approached the day very intelligently," he said. "We have an excellent relationship with Kevin Mills Racing, where he has been racing this year, and so we had a fair idea of what to expect from him - and he didn't disappoint.
"If we can find a sensible budget for him, we would run him like a shot in our F3 team, as he would undoubtedly be very successful."
