Sam Bird has revealed that he will join Mucke Motorsport for the 2009 F3 Euroseries season.

The Briton, who raced for Manor in his maiden assault on the series, will look to follow in the footsteps of people like Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel, both of whom drove for Mucke earlier in their careers before moving into Formula One. Another former Mucke driver, Sebastien Buemi, is widely tipped to follow suit in 2009.

Having finished just outside the top ten in his first season in the Euroseries, Bird admitted he was thrilled to have joined one of the leading teams for his second year and was hopeful of fighting for the title.
