Having debuted in the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series last season, the Litespeed F3 team has revealed it is aiming to sign one of the top female racing drivers for 2009.
Canadian star Maryeve Dufalt has already had the chance to sample the team's SLC R1-Mugen Honda and will now look to run in the British F3 series this season if the budget can be secured.
It would make the 26-year-old the first female racer to compete in the series in a decade.
"We were delighted with Maryeve's test results," Litespeed technical director Steve Kenchington said. "She applied a professional and methodical approach in making the step into a British F3 car, focusing on learning the circuit and the challenge of driving in wet conditions. With more seat time she will have the opportunity to fulfil her potential."
