McLaren Formula 1 junior Lando Norris was denied the chance to wrap up the FIA European Formula 3 title with one round to spare after a last-lap clash during Sunday's race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.

Norris, 17, entered the final race of the Red Bull Ring race weekend 82 points clear of Maximillian Günther, needing a lead of 75 to secure the title on Sunday for Carlin.

Starting second behind Joel Eriksson, Norris held position throughout the race before coming under pressure from Ralf Aaron in the closing stages.
