Corvette Racing's Oliver Gavin has agreed a deal with leading Belgian FIA GT sportscar entrant Selleslagh Racing Team to be a part of its driver line-up for the forthcoming Spa 24 Hours.

The 36-year old Briton will share the wheel of the SRT Corvette C6.R with experienced Belgian Bert Longin, reigning FIA GT3 champion James Ruffier and former Belgian GT champion Maxime Soulet as he makes his second appearance in the Spa classic over 26-27 July, and brings an enormous bank of technical and racing knowledge which, combined with his team mates' experience at Spa and with the Corvette C6.R, should make the team one of the favourites for success.

“I'm delighted to be driving for SRT in the Spa 24 hours this year," four-time Le Mans GT1 winner and three-time ALMS class champion Gavin commented, "It's quite a late deal because everyone's been working hard to try and get their plans together, but I'm very happy to be returning to Spa for the first time since 2007.

"Spa is a fantastic race track to compete at and, of course, the 24 Hours is a special event. We've got a line-up with a huge amount of knowledge at Spa and in the Corvette, which I think gives us a really solid foundation to go into the race. SRT is a strong Belgian team with a great heritage at Spa and it's their home race, so that gives me a lot of confidence.”
