Gigawave Motorsport will look to bounce back from the disappointment of Oschersleben as the FIA GT Championship heads to Spa this weekend for the annual 24 hour event.

The team was forced to miss the last round in Germany due to an engine problem on its Aston Martin DBR9 but will now look to return to form in the biggest event on the schedule at the Belgian GP venue.

"I am very confident following a good test at Spa recently," driver Philipp Peter said. "The team really found a new level of motivation following the disappointment in Oschersleben."

Peter will be joined at the wheel of the car by regular team-mate Allan Simonsen and factory Aston Martin Racing man Darren Turner - who will make the most of a weekend off from his touring car commitments with SEAT to take part in the race.

"It's such a pleasure to drive the DBR9 around a circuit like Spa," he said. "The track has to be in most drivers' top three favourites as it really is the ultimate drivers' racetrack.

"The level of grip in the wet here is extraordinary, which is fortunate, as it can rain at any time with no warning. It really is an old-school circuit that separates the men from the boys."
