Having battled hard to a points finish despite a somewhat under the weather car at Brno, Scuderia Ecosse will head to the Nogaro for the eighth round of the FIA GT Championship this weekend looking to fight for a first win of the year.
Jamie Davies and Fabio Babini took eighth place in the Czech Republic at the wheel of the #62 Ferrari 430 although a engine issue prevented the pair from fighting for more. However, in the time following the seventh round of the season, the team has worked hard to modify the car which now heads to Nogaro with the latest 2008 aero package, a fresh engine and having had the benefit of some valuable technical input and advice from Michelotto.
“We have known for some time now that the engine we had been running was not performing as it should,” team boss Stewart Roden said. “Therefore since Brno we have spent a considerable amount of time and effort overhauling key parts of the car and we are now heading for Nogaro with a car that I believe is capable of reaching its full potential.”
