Edil Cris considers Le Mans Series.

Giancristiano Cavalleri, the principal of Racing Team Edil Cris, has revealed that his outfit could elect to take in events in the Le Mans Series during the 2009 season.

The GT team, which impressed in the FIA GT Championship in 2007, spent 2008 focused on campaigns in the International GT Open and the Italian GT Championship.

Both of those programmes are set to continue into 2009, but Cavalleri admitted that he was looking to expand to take in events in both the LMS and the national Polish series.

"Motor racing is living a difficult period, but one does not have to fall into alarmism," he said. "As in 2008, we will take part in the International Open GT and in the Italian GT. Meanwhile, we are seriously considering the opportunity to extend our commitment to the Le Mans Series and the Polish GT too.

“On this basis, we are delineating our sportive programmes and negotiations are on with candidate drivers to build our 2009 crews."
