With Mercedes engines, how could it possibly still be called Honda? This lawn gnone is even more of a t.osse.r than we think.

Bernie you idiot, if it's just a name, stop whinging about it!!! If Ferrari isn't winning he'll find something to moan about in all the other teams that do better.

"Means nothing to the public!" The British press, at the very least, seem to think otherwise, particularly with Button at the wheel. Think before you speak old boy.

Surely pretty much ANY new teams name won't mean much to anyone, I don't see his point, at least Brawn means something to some.

And I don't like that bit at the end of the article - money only being given to the teams if they sign the Concorde agreement? In my book that's called bribery!

Judging by his last few published comments, Bernie's objective is to attract people with money who are NOT ALREADY F1 participants or fans. His outrageous thoughts and ideas will simply continue unabated until someone pays him to shut the heck up.

But then...what would we have to talk about?

BE is right, the name does not mean much to the public. Honda, or now perhaps Virgin is the kind of profile F1 needs, all the great results of BrawnGP notwithstanding. Perhaps this will happen soon. As for the money, rules are rules and the lucre is tight.
Without all this intrigue, us punters would have nothing to do during the day. :)

I remember when Bernie and Max were the best thing for F1 but it was a long time ago and they should go. Unfortunately people in power don't give it up it has to be taken from them and I can't see anyone with the balls or desire to do it so we may have to wait until they die.
Max forced out Jean Marie Balestre and took on the job for one Year, somewhere after that he forgot the one year bit. We had a power struggle before, anybody out there fancy a shot.

Sure he wants a bigger name on the marquis. That's because he wants to have someone he can sue the pants off of if they leave.

Since Bernie charges teams an astronomical fee per word in the team name on the entry form, I'm sure he world have been delighted if the team had been called the Honda Brawn Virgin Alliance GP Team.
