Pirelli boss predicts 'astonishingly good races'
28 January 2012
Pirelli boss Paul Hembery has predicted that the 2012 F1 season could be one of the best ever, with no fewer than six championship winners due to line-up on the grid.
Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher will all compete in the sport this year having taken a total of 14 titles between them.
Aside from the championship winners, four other drivers have won an F1 race while the likes of Nico Rosberg will hope to take to the top step of the podium this season.

], Hembery insisted that the 2012 campaign could prove to be a classic with the promise of some high quality racing to come.
"It probably is, also when you take into account that there is a slew of talented drivers who have not won a Championship,” he told Turun Sanomat
when asked if 2012 will see the highest level of competition seen in F1. "The level is very high, perhaps the highest that has ever been seen.
"If the level of the cars is just as high, and their performance is sky high, we will see a lot of astonishingly good races."
