Hill Jr to compete in F3

28 February 2013

Josh Hill, the son of 1996 F1 world champion, Damon Hill, will compete in the 2013 FIA Formula 3 European Championship with Fortec Motorsport, it has been confirmed.

Josh joins Puerto Rican Felix Serralles and Brazilian Luis Felipe Derani as third the Fortec Motorsport driver and the quartet will be completed by Russia's 17-year-old former GP3 driver Dmitry Suranovich.

“It's great to be racing in the 2013 F3 European Championship,” said Josh. “It's a hugely prestigious championship that represented a major step in the careers of drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel. At the same time, it also is an extremely competitive series. I just can't wait for contesting my first tests and the first race.”

The ten-round 2013 FIA Formula 3 European Championship begins at Monza in Italy next month, running from March 23-24.
