Thompson back in fast lane with Lotus tie-in

9 April 2013

Former Sky Sports F1 presenter Georgie Thompson has been unveiled as the face of a new fast-paced F1 campaign from leading male deodorant brand Suremen.

Thompson, who has a passion for motorsport demonstrated by stints presenting various championships on Sky over the years, will support the Suremen Formula WIN sales promotion and Lotus F1 Team partnership through in-store, PR and digital marketing activity.

The former presenter – who is widely rumoured to be heading to the new BT Sport package where she will join former BBC F1 presenter Jake Humphrey - is backing the campaign by launching a money-can't-buy on-pack promotion that will give F1 fans the chance to drive the Lotus F1 car, as well winning thousands of cash prizes.

"It's great to be involved in a campaign focused on F1 and Suremen is such an exciting brand to be involved with, especially given the strong early season form of the Lotus F1 Team, with Kimi Raikkonen winning the first grand prix,” Thompson commented, "It's a brand that fits really well with the fast-paced and exhilarating F1 lifestyle [and] I'm really looking forward to being a part of such an exciting project."

Suremen kick-started the 2013 F1 season with the launch of a new Lotus F1 Special Edition deodorant range, offering outstanding protection even in the most high adrenaline situations, and brand manager Paul O'Connor is confident that he has got the right woman for the job.

"We are looking to leverage our fans' passions for sports and cars through the partnership with the Lotus F1 Team and showcase how Suremen won't let you down, even in the fast paced and high performance world of F1,” he noted.

"When it came to choosing an ambassador for the campaign, Georgie was the perfect fit as she is naturally popular with Suremen fans and has an extensive sporting background. We're delighted to have her on board and urge all F1 enthusiasts to watch out for the exciting activity to come throughout the season."
