Find out in person what makes the Singapore GP so special
21 April 2013
The 2013 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX
is gearing up to enthral crowds with its unique combination of race action and world-class entertainment.
Against the breathtaking city skyline and with a view of the race under the stars, Singapore hosts the only Formula One™ night race for the sixth year. "The Singapore Grand Prix has resoundingly become one of the most impressive events on the Formula One™ calendar and a unique weekend which is enjoyed by drivers, teams and fans alike,” said Ross Brawn, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team Principal.
Last year's epic race reached the full two hour mark for the first time in a fully dry race in Formula One since 1991. Nearly a quarter of the grid retired, and in the end Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel cruised past Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso to victory with two laps to go.
At the Marina Bay Street Circuit, motorsports fans can enjoy the Formula One™ and support races as well as an entertainment programme that in 2013 includes American alternative rock band, The Killers, among many others. The multi award-winning artistes are set to ignite the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on Saturday, 21st September. Patrons can also soak in the festival atmosphere, roving acts and wide variety of dining options.
Sebastian Vettel sums it up, “It's spectacular seeing the cars so close at night, seeing them right in front of you in the middle of the city… also around the race there are a lot of concerts going on, things like that make it all in all very spectacular for people to come. The attraction is huge.”
Fans can look forward to the return of the hugely successful Group Booking Special, which offers patrons who purchase four or more tickets fantastic savings. There are also new ticketing initiatives to enable fans to experience different parts of the circuit over the three days.
From 20 to 22 September 2013, get ready for the lights, glamour and electrifying drama of a night race set in the heart of downtown Singapore. Up for grabs for early bird ticketholders are passes to the coveted Formula One™ Drivers' Autograph Session and a chance to meet The Killers up-close in Singapore this September. Buy your tickets before 30 April to stand a chance to win!
