Would Vinales be better off without Rossi?

Vinales was flying at the start of the season and it seems like it was Rossi's desire to change the bike that started a whole bunch of issues so would Vinales actually have been better off with a different teammate?

It's probably true that Rossi

It's probably true that Rossi's say carries more sway but he's earned that by racing at the top for donkeys years! Vinales is learning from one of the greatest riders of all time, possibly the greatest, and he's not going to get a better grounding than that anywhere or from anyone else currently racing

He'd obviously never admit

He'd obviously never admit that publicly but yeh maybe he would prefer a different teammate so the team is built around him. At the moment he's definitely living in Rossi's shade, but anyone would he's such a big personality in the sport.

haters gonna hate

Love him or loathe him, but it was wrong from Yamaha brass not to listen Rossi's opinion on M1's direction of development. Maverick is a fast guy, but still doesn't understand the bike in the way that VR does. Maybe Yamaha guys thought that's just locking horns between the OLd and the New, but the Old was right. Now they have a bike with questionable handling, can't take corners, hates rain and likes to devour it's own tyres .
