Valles, van der Drift test for Epsilon Euskadi

GP2 Asia drivers Chris van der Drift and Adrian Valles could be set for a season of World Series by Renault racing after appearing at the latest pre-season test for Epsilon Euskadi.

The pair, who have both driven for Trident Racing at some stage during the off-season championship, were on track in Jerez as the countdown to the start of the new World Series season officially got underway.

Should Valles, who has raced for Campos, FMS and BCN in GP2 and competed for Epsilon Euskadi in the Le Mans Series, conclude a deal with the Basque team, it will be a return to the series he last competed in four years ago, incidentally the same year Epsilon Euskadi won the title with Robert Kubica.

Van der Drift, meanwhile, would come to the series having dominated the 2008 Formula Master series and competed for New Zealand in A1GP.

Elsewhere, just ten teams and 18 drivers are present for the test in Spain, with RC Motorsport, KTR and Interwetten Racing failing to make the trip, while Comtec and P1 Motorsport are represented by just one driver.

Beyond those who have already signed deals for 2009, Frankie Provenzano, who is currently also racing for Trident in GP2 Asia, was on track for Tech 1 Racing and Edoardo Piscopo is testing for Prema.
