Sten Pentus will return for a second season of World Series by Renault action in 2010 after extending his contract with the Fortec Motorsport team.
Pentus raced under the Mofaz Fortec banner in 2009, but while the two parties have split to concentrate on their own teams, the Estonian has been retained by the British operation.
Making the leap from the Formula Renault UK series, Pentus was on the podium in his first event at Barcelona before further points' finishes over the season helped him to 12th position in the overall standings.
Dutton said, “Seeing Sten's development during last season and the excellent relationship he built with the team was very satisfying, and to be able to have continuity of personnel and driver for this year gives me a lot of confidence for the coming season,” said Fortec manager Richard Dutton.”
“I believe the tremendous progress Sten made and the experience gathered last year will make both Sten and Fortec serious contenders for the 2010 Championship.”
Fortec, who assumed Prema Powerteam's World Series by Renault entry, is yet to announce its second driver.
