Pietro Fantin was top of the time sheets on Tuesday morning, leading the first session of post-season testing in Jerez, Spain.
The 2014 International Draco Racing driver, who continues his affiliation with the team this week, was fastest for much of the morning, six tenths-of-a-second ahead of rookie Alex Fontana. The Lotus F1 junior stepping up from Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup for the Spanish test.
Lotus' second driver Matthieu Vaxiviere, was third fastest with Nicholas Latifi fourth. The Canadian appeared in only six races of the 2014 season with Tech 1 Racing before securing a podium at the ninth and final round in Jerez last weekend. He drives for two-time race winners Strakka Racing on the first day of testing.
Luca Ghiotto, driving a Fortec Motorsports challenger for the first time, was fifth fastest after completing one full season with International Draco Racing this year. He was closely followed by an ever-improving Beitske Visser with the Dutch racer continuing her relationship with AV Formula this week.
Jordan King led an all British pairing at Arden Motorsport today to finish the morning session seventh fastest. Meanwhile Oscar Tunjo, 2013 FR2.0 Eurocup champion Nyck De Vries and Dennis Olsen completed the top ten.
The drivers will return to the track for an afternoon test in Jerez before their times are accumulated with two seconds currently separating all 19 racers.
