Pons Racing will combine rookie youth and veteran experience with the signing of Alex Bosak and Beitske Visser for their upcoming 2016 Formula V8 3.5 campaign.
The Spanish outfit brings an all-new line up to the helm of their 3.5 litre models after a year of constant change saw eight drivers join the team at varying points in the season.
In a switch from AVF, Visser joins Pons for a third consecutive title attempt. The Dutch racer already has two years at AVF teamed with driver coaching duties and a solid final week in post-season testing to her credit, factors the 20-year-old hopes will set her up for what could become her strongest year to date:
“I'm convinced that Beitske Visser arrives in my team at the best sporting period of her life," says Sito Pons. "Having debuted at the age of 17 with the Formula Renault 3.5 car means we can expect a very promising season and newcomer Alex Bosak will profit from her great experience in this discipline."
Bosak jumps ship from GP3 to a two-year deal in the evolving 3.5 series after a successful few weeks testing post-season. The 21-year-old is also an experienced Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and NEC competitor.
Alongside Visser, and as part of an experienced team, Bosak admits that both 2016 and 2017 should welcome further improvements:
"I'm really happy to join Pons Racing for the Formula V8 3.5 challenge. I'm joining the team for two years," he said of his signing. "Of course I need to have some more experience as I will use the Michelin tyres, but these tyres last much more.
"I'm hungry to drive the car again in the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya after a long winter break!”
Joining nine fellow competitors - including team mate Visser - Bosak will make his race debut in April when the first of nine rounds starts the 2016 season in Spain, one of three home races for Pons this year.
