Pietro Fittipaldi completes Fortec FV8 line-up

Emerson Fittipaldi's grandson Pietro will line up alongside Louis Deletraz in Fortec's Formula V8 3.5 this season.
Pietro Fittipaldi, grandson of two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson, will drive in the Formula V8 3.5 Championship this season after penning a deal with Fortec Motorsport.

The British racer competed with Fortec in European Formula 3 last season, scoring a best finish of sixth position en route to 17th in the standings, and will progress to the new rebranded FV8 series with the same team.

The 19 year-old's singing completes Fortec's line-up for the season as it looks to build on the title winning success it enjoyed in the Formula Renault 3.5 Championship last year with Oliver Rowland, Fittipaldi being paired alongside FRenault Eurocup standout Louis Deletraz.

“I am very pleased to continue working with Fortec in this new chapter of my career. The championship will be very competitive, so I know that it's going to be a big challenge. I am confident that we will have a strong package, but we will have to work hard in order to run at the front right from the beginning."
