Formula V8 3.5 practice ended on Friday with Fortec Motorsport's Louis Deletraz a top the overall time sheets, just one day before the first race of the 2016 season at Motorland, Aragon.

The series rookie set his fastest time, a 1m 40.874s, in the morning and remained unsurpassable at the end of Friday running.

Although some way down on his best in the afternoon, AVF's Tom Dillmann still charged to second overall with Russian Egor Orudzhev leading Aurelien Panis for an Arden Motorsport 3-4.

Matevos Isaakyan held on to fifth overall while Roy Nissany climbed from 13th to sixth in the afternoon. The Israeli's pace dropped experienced competitor Beitske Visser to seventh.

Meanwhile, Yu Kanamaru, Rene Binder and Fortec's remaning driver Pietro Fittipaldi completed a competitive top ten.

As the chequered flag signalled the end of Friday practice, Nissany and 12th placed Matthieu Vaxiviere were instructed to consult the stewards but, at the time of reporting, a decision is yet to confirmed.

Qualifying for the first race of the season begins tomorrow morning before the 15 announced drivers compete for bragging rights at Motorland, Aragon. Fortec Motorsports go into the first race as defending Formula Renault 3.5 champions following Oliver Rowland's victorious 2015 campaign for the British outfit.
