Matevos Isaakyan has recorded his maiden pole position in the Formula V8 3.5 championship for the second race at the Red Bull Ring ahead of race one pole-sitter Louis Deletraz.
The Russian rookie grabbed top spot for SMP Racing by less than a tenth of a second from the Swiss driver with his penultimate timed lap, while his team-mate Matthieu Vaxiviere, who claimed victory in race one in Spielberg, will line up on the front of the second row.
Roy Nissany will join Vaxiviere on row two ahead of Aurelien Panis and AVF duo Alfonso Celis Jr and Tom Dillmann.
Egor Orudzhev narrowly beat Pietro Fittipaldi to the head of row four as guest driver Rene Binder completed the top ten.
