Barba battles back to podium.

Alvaro Barba was pleased to claim his second podium of the season in the first World Series by Renault race of the weekend at Estoril.

Fighting back from a disappointing qualifying position that didn't represent his pace in free practice, Barba battled up from tenth place to cross the line third.

Although aided by retirements ahead for Mikhail Aleshin and Bertrand Baguette, the Draco Racing driver was nonetheless pleased with his efforts.

“I'm really happy to be on the podium, as qualifying didn't go well at all. I was lacking grip on my rear tyres. I got a bit isolated during the race, but I think I got the best result I could have got in the circumstances.”
