Mondini back at Eurointernational.

Having led Eurointernational's first foray into the World Series by Renault in 2005, Giorgio Mondini will also be present on the team's championship swansong after being signed to compete in the final round of the year.

The last round of the season before the championship decreases from 15 to 13 teams, Eurointernational were revealed to be one of three teams who had not made next year's entry list earlier this month and will therefore be appearing for the final time this weekend in Barcelona.

Nonetheless, they will have Mondini hoping to end it all on a high as the Swiss driver becomes the sixth different driver to compete for Antonio Ferrari's eponymous team this weekend.

It isn't the first time Mondini has raced with Eurointernational, the former Midland F1 test driver scoring the Formula Renault V6 title with them in 2004 before morphing into World Series in 2005 together. However, the partnership turned sour mid-season when Mondini only managed to score on one occasion.

Two years on though and Mondini will join Julian Theobald in the team.
