Molina celebrates again.

Having broken his victory duck last time out at Estoril, Miguel Molina has topped the winner's rostrum once again at the Circuit de Catalunya, after claiming victory in the first race of the weekend.

Returning to both his and Pons Racing's home circuit, Molina was fastest in practice but could not quite translate that into qualifying when he managed third place on the grid.

Nonetheless, with Molina shadowing leader Salvador Duran over the first half of the race, both drivers went for their mandatory pit stops at the same time, with the Spaniard emerging back out in front.

Sprinting away from there, the 18-year-old was left to claim a comfortable second win in a row, one that sees him surge up the points leaderboard to seventh place overall.

"I got off to a good start but I got held up behind Alvaro and was unable to attack as much as I'd have liked. When he came into the pits, I was able to push on a bit before making my pitstop. It's superb to take my second home win."
