Cantelli replaces Alcaraz at RC.

RC Motorsport will undergo their second driver change in as many rounds after signing Ultimate Signature refugee Claudio Cantelli Jr for the remainder of the season.

The Brazilian will join the team in place of Aleix Alcaraz from this weekend's latest World Series by Renault round at the Hungaroring, just one race after Duncan Tappy was signed to replace Borja Garcia.

Cantelli began the season with Ultimate Signature, but was one of only two drivers not to score a point in the first three rounds before the team opted to race Formula 3 driver Esteban Guerrieri instead.

Nonetheless, Cantelli will see out the season with RC Motorsport, the Italian team having now slipped to last in the team standings with seven points.

"It's a team with tradition and many significant results in its long history”, the 19 year-old said. “The expectation is great. I am very optimistic.”

Alcaraz, meanwhile, is thought to be in negotiations with Pons Racing after speculation that Maximo Cortes is struggling with budget.
