Oliver Rowland stormed to his maiden series victory, winning race two in Motorland, Aragon.

The Briton successfully converted his pole position into a convincing race win, greeting the chequered flag thirteen seconds before his former FR2.0 Eurocup rival, Pierre Gasly. This is the second podium for Fortec's rookie driver who finished yesterday's race in third.

Frenchman, Gasly climbed two positions in the final few laps to take his second career podium with Will Stevens settling for third overall. The series veteran, who has great history around the Spanish circuit, could not fend off the fast-finishing Red Bull junior on the last lap.

An early pit stop by Carlos Sainz Jr saw him move up the order to take fourth as he increased his championship lead over the rest of the field. The Spaniard's closest title rival; Nikolay Martsenko stopped on the starting grid and retired from the race.

Once again producing consistent times, Zoel Amberg put his two previous FR3.5 seasons to good use to improve on his position, converting his tenth place grid slot to a fifth place finish, almost a second faster than the Zeta Corse of Roberto Merhi. The fast-starting Spaniard was unable to sustain the pace and settled for sixth just in front of Tech 1 Racing's Marco Sorensen.

Matthieu Vaxiviere, Jazeman Jaafar and Norman Nato enjoyed a race long tussle for positions to claim the final points of the weekend.

Meindert Van Buuren and Oliver Webb just missed out on securing Pons Racing's first points score of the year; the driver pairing finished in eleventh and thirteenth respectively. Meanwhile, despite starting on the front row, Pietro Fantin finished down in twelfth for International Draco Racing.

Rowland's Fortec Motorsports team mate, Sergey Sirotkin was a late retirement from the race and completed just 19 laps.

Lotus' Marlon Stockinger and Arden's William Buller are currently under investigation following a collision at turn seven. Spanish team, AV Formula are also under investigation. If found to be in breach of the rules, they could face a penalty at the next race in Monaco.
