Jon Lancaster has secured a deal to race for Fortec in the 2010 World Series by Renault.

The 21-year-old joined the World Series grid mid-way through the 209 campaign and took victory in Portugal for Comtec.

With a full season now confirmed, Lancaster heads into 2010 targeting a championship challenge, having enjoyed two successful days of testing at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain.

"We came into WSR last year mid-way through and were immediately on the pace," Lancaster said. "But for some reliability issues during the season together with a few bad decisions, I'm confident we could have been battling for more race wins.

"We went into the series last year without any chance of winning the championship, having missed so many races, with a view to challenging for the title this season. After two successful days with the Fortec Motorsport team last week, I'm very much looking forward to the season ahead and optimistic that we can be amongst the quickest out there and battle for the WSR crown."
