Defending drivers' and constructors' champions DAMS has announced its line-up for the 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 season.

Norman Nato will return to the French outfit for a second season, whilst Carlos Sainz Jr steps up from GP3 to a full-time drive in the championship having taken part in selected events with Zeta Corse last year.

The Red Bull Junior Team driver will replace 2013 champion Kevin Magnussen, who has since signed with McLaren for the upcoming F1 season.

The Spaniard's confirmation with the team follows a successful testing campaign at Motorland Aragon, where he set the second fastest overall time at the helm of Magnussen's championship winning model.

"I have always wanted to be part of this team," he said. "I have to thank Red Bull for another year, as well as Cepsa for the confidence they are putting in me."

Nato's return to DAMS follows a mixed 2013 season. The Frenchman took a best finish of fifth, and 13th overall in the championship standings.

Nato described his delight at returning to the championship winning team for a second consecutive season, pairing another well-regarded young talent.

"I appreciate the fact that I'll have Carlos Sainz Jr at my side as he's already proved himself in F3, GP3 and FR 3.5 as well as having had very good tests in GP2 and F1!" he said. "This package should help me achieve my aim, namely: to play a leading role in 2014. It's a really great challenge which I'm about to take up full of determination."

Both drivers will fire up their 2014 models during the pre-season test starting the 25th of February.
