Zoel Amberg has announced a move to AV Formula for the 2014 season as the first day of Formula Renault 3.5 testing gets under way in Motorland, Aragon.

The Swiss driver will leave Pons Racing to join the Spanish team for his third consecutive FR3.5 title charge. Amberg, who has already fired up his 2014 challenger for the testing session, can also boast a full GP3 season from 2011 to his name.

The 21-year-old has a career-best sixth place finish from the 2013 season finale at the Circuit de Catalunya and an additional points finish from 2012.

"Starting another season in World Series feels really good and I'm glad that I'm doing that with AVF", he said.

"The feeling of the car is great, and the spirit in the team is very high too, so I couldn't imagine a better place to try and make the most of all the race craft I've acquired through my WSR commitments so far", he concluded.
