Matthieu Vaxiviere has opened up the final round of the 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 Championship with the fastest time in free practice.

The Frenchman, whose season was hampered by a two-event absence through injury, hit the front during the latter stages of the first session to set the only time below 1min 29secs.
