Russia's Egor Orudzhev has joined Arden Motorsport for the 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 season.

The Russian officially joins the grid after completing post-season testing with the British outfit in Jerez and Motorland last year. The teenager, currently just 19-years-old, will step up from an eighth place in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup to a full-time drive with the well-respected team.

Following the announcement, the Russian spoke of his excitement as he joins an impressive list of Russians to contest Renault's flagship series. His sponsors, SMP Racing, have previously backed the likes of Sergey Sirotkin in recent years.

"I am glad to represent SMP Racing in one of the most prestigious and fast series - Formula Renault 3.5," he said. "SMP Racing Programme supporting me in junior classes, and we were able to show good results."

Arden Motorsport - the brainchild of Christian and Garry Horner -finished third in the team championship in 2014 with Pierre Gasly and William Buller at the helm. Since making their FR3.5 debut in 2012, the team can boast Alexander Rossi and Antonio Felix da Costa amongst its alumni.

"I am happy to join the Arden Motorsport team - one of the best teams in Formula Renault 3.5," he continued. "Previously, I had the opportunity to test the car, and during our tests I quickly found good communication with the engineer, as well as mechanics and team managers."

Orudzhev joins Beitske Visser, Oliver Rowland, Aurelien Panis, Oscar Tunjo, Pietro Fantin and Nyck de Vries on the grid. A team mate for the young Russian is yet to be confirmed.
